The Greek island filled with luxury shopping,
beautiful beaches, and a thriving night life
Our
5 days in magical, beautiful Santorini have come to an end...
the whole entire time I did not want to leave Santorini –
the whole entire time I did not want to leave Santorini –
but our Greek adventure continues, and our
next destination was the fun island of Mykonos.
Everyone
said the whole entire time that Mykonos is the complete opposite of Santorini
and indeed it was. Santorini is an island sitting on top of a volcanic cliff that
offers breath taking views, the Greek culture, an island full of history and an island where you
can relax and feel like you’re in heaven.
Mykonos
however… I don’t even know where to begin…
1st…
You
won’t find the same views you would in Santorini
2nd…
There
is one main town, unlike Santorini where there are multiple towns all over the
island...
A main town that is completely dead during the day and comes alive at
night, like I was so shocked… When we were exploring the town during the day
most of the shops were closed but when we went back at night time! Holy moly!
It’s packed! Like you can’t even walk! Cray!
3rd…
White
and blue stone boutiques carry LV, Proenza Schouler, Balenciaga, Etro,
Giuseppe, etc…
I mean, fabulous designers in white stone stores???! Mind
blowing… Loves it!
4th…
Since
the main town is dead during the day, the beaches are the attractions…
The
beaches in Mykonos are the complete opposite of Santorini. White sands and blue
tranquil water – No more volcanic rocks! Annnnddd!!! The beaches here are
filled with beach side bars with loud music, and a free flow of alcohol… Oh,
and let’s not forget the topless women everywhere, ewe. But, I won’t complain
about all the HOT Greek men… Delish. LOL.
Mykonos
was totally different but it was a good balance, we needed a little fun in the
sun after our 5 day relaxation in Santorini.
Sooo,
with all that being said!... For our first day in Mykonos…
We
rented ATV’s and explored the town and the island, it was so much fun!
It
was a great, fun, and fabulous first day in Mykonos!
